This the story of

Jim Trimiglozzi

I tried a few times to learn to draw early in life but was never really encouraged to pursue it (in fact quite the opposite). I took up photography seriously in my twenties working with a manual Pentax camera. I not only liked it but I was pleased with the output. As I developed my interest and researched ways to improve, I stumbled on an article that proposed painting as a way to develop a better understanding in creating photographs.

Painting forces one to think about subject and composition, values and depth, chroma and the lack of it, and the relationships of colors to each other. I have no formal training but I have worked hard to learn, explore, grow, and to present something that is pleasing to me and, hopefully, to you.

The works here a primarily to share with friends and anyone who may find enjoyment in them. Some paintings are available for sale and I have worked for several people on commissions (let me know if you are interested). Photographs are also available. I have printed these on aluminum with great results for some very pleased people. They can also be printed on canvas, acrylic, or acrylic blocks (for table display).
